Determining the Value of Keywords

In: Internet

How do you identify the value of keywords? One variable is the volume of visitors it is capable of sending. But the volume of traffic is not all. You have to be able to sell to those visitors. One of the ways to pinpoint the commercial viability is the pay-per-click CPC the advertisers pay to display their advertisements for that keyword. Most tools provide this info, from Google’s Keyword Tool to Keyword Elite. If the keyword has a high cost per click, means advertisers have profit from it. If the bid price per click is low, there’s likely very few buyers searching for that phrase. Pay attention to this metric when researching, the amount of traffic and competition is not everything.
